Healthy diabetic nutrition and diet
A proper and healthy diabetic diet has nothing to do with a starvation diet.
This diet will just be balanced and healthy - just as I recommend it to all patients.
Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables is a must as much as possible. Whole grain products must replace products with white bread and white flour - especially the White flour has a serious impact which a lot of people do not realize.
Especially these carbohydrates in the body are converted into glucose very quickly. For diabetics it is important to eat the right carbs. Keep in mind that cake always contains too much white flour, sugar and fat in most cases.
This brings us to the issue of fat: Eat a healthy diet as much as possible and avoid meat and sausage as much as possible. Other hand, fish must be included in your diet twice a week
The combination of fat and sweets are extremely unhealthy, as already briefly mentioned above: This combination drives the blood sugar extremely high.
The most popular fat-sweet combinations are of course cakes (fritters, Berlin!), French fries, pancakes, or rice pudding, ice cream and chocolate. The tricky thing about this is that these taste so good but you have to know that fat is a very good flavor carrier.
Of course, you should limit all other sweets such as nuts.
If you wonder what you need to eat or, you can buy a "healthy" cookbook. More good news: they do not need special diabetes diet!
A word about diabetes products and foods for diabetics: There is now nothing that does not exist. From ice cream to chocolate, to special sausage.
You should avoid the "unhealthy" foods. Be diabetic friendly as much as possible.
Have you ever seen a diabetic who eats wheat bread? Certainly not, because you do not need to.
Diabetes - tablets - a stopgap
A change in diet will not happen overnight.
The alternative is simple:
I swallow a pill and can continue to live just like before diabetes .
But it is recommended that you should avoid diabetes pills as much as possible.
Here is the reason that you should think that you probably have not heard from your doctor:
With tablets you lower your blood sugar levels by stimulating your pancreas to produce more insulin.
The probability that you need to inject a lot faster than if you had changed your diet in moderation, is much higher.
Blood sugar levels in diabetes
Carbohydrates are now demonized by a lot of people. You should avoid too much of these if you want to prevent diabetes.
But is this really true?
No, because carbohydrates are not all the same. You should avoid, in any case, short-chain carbohydrates. They are contained in sugar or white flour. This lets the blood sugar level rise more quickly than long-chain carbohydrates.
These long-chain carbohydrates like whole grains are much healthier. These products provide valuable fiber that lowers your risk of diabetes. They also contain carbohydrates that can be gradually converted to glucose.
The insulin to glucose degradation is released very slowly; thus, you can avoid unnecessary spikes in blood sugar levels. Result: you are permanently more energized cells.
